The Heritage Square Museum commemorates the 40th anniversary of when young hippies took refuge in low cost Victorian Housing. From the Bay to LA, the hippies participated in Music festivals and protests of the Vietnam War, where the Victorian Houses were the continual backdrop to the movement. The Summer of Love Fest commemorates the beginning and the end of the Hippie movement.
Festival is sponsered by Southwest Airlines and Coca-Cola, tickets are sold in advanced and are highly recommended to be purchased in advance. Local “Oldies” radio station K-EARTH 101 will there to play music with special musical guest The Ravelers. ” Be sure to “get out your love beads and be sure to wear some flowers in your hair!”
