Sloshball 2008

There was sooo much I wanted to do this weekend, such as the Grilled Cheese Nationals and all the Art Show Openings, but there just wasn’t enough time for it all, well, that and the fact that I went to Sloshball that morning and drank all day. My friend Marlo organizes this event every year for her friends and all local players of WOW and its always a great time.

It works like this: It’s a game of kickball but you have to drink beer while playing. Every player on the field must carry a cup of beer at all times. When you kick, you must have half a cup of beer, which must be finished when you get to 2nd base. At 2nd, you will refill your cup and finish that half when you get to home plate. Up to three people can stand at 2nd base, so as to give some time to refill, chat, take a break and so forth. Beer is also required on the defensive side- no cup of beer, no play time for you.

Needless to say, lots of light beer was consumed, lots of good laughs and lots of fun!
