I have to say, one of the benefits of living in L.A. is that Hollywood is in our backyard and that we have an incredible access to movies of all types. The bad thing about that are the f*cking A-holes we have to deal with everywhere we turn. It’s always an act or an actor, and as an Angelino, you always want to punch the guy who transplanted himself from the middle-of-nowhere and who now thinks he’s hot shit because he knows all the bars in L.A. that will charge you ridiculously stupid prices for a drink and a cover just so that you can hang with other people just like him. I think I may be digressing here….

The Los Angeles Film Fest is an annual event that takes place in Westwood, in several theatres be it, and gives everybody the chance to view upcoming movies. Good ones, Bad ones, int’l ones, short ones, animated ones, highly anticipated one, even ones that have that incredible feeling that somebody really felt the need to spend an incredible amount of money on the dumbest script you’ve ever heard. Anyways, this is the chance for you to be the critic and view movies for various prices, mostly $12 a pop, but some,like Hellboy 2, go for $100. The Film Fest is actually pretty good about choosing great movies and there are tons of events you can attend- if you’re into the industry thing.
