While most of us are freaking out and still talking about our Laker’s dissappointing loss against the Celtics, (because let’s face it: no rebounds, bad ball-movement and terrible shooting will always equal a loss,) a huge moment in Dodger history was made last night. As I was sitting down to a late night meal at The Brentwood and caught the match up against the Cubs, I thought to myself how bad their road trip was versus The Cubs, The Mets and The Rockies- all loses (3 - 15). Suddenly, as I looked up at the TV and I saw the pitcher I was raving about in the beginning of the season. Sure he’s had a rocky start, and no Japanese Pitcher has had a great transition into American League baseball, including Daisuke, but this game was all about what Kuroda was all about, the reason why the Dodgers went so far to pick him up.

Hiroki Kuroda pitched a shutout last night, that means no runners scored: no walks, no runs, only 4 hits and he pitched all nine innings with only 112 throws- all while striking out 5 of the last 10 hitters. It was a great rebound for Kuroda and an incredible win for the Dodgers as this snaps their 3 game loosing streak. The last time a shutout was thrown at Dodger Stadium was Derrek Lowe, about 3 years ago, so to see such athleticism at it’s finest was a joyous moment Gratz to Kuroda, Gratz to the Dodgers team for putting up a good offense and Thank you Dodgers for getting me excited again!
