Info: Summer gets a swift kick in the ass with the beginning of Summer Camp at Little Radio this Saturday. Tickets to get into super funland cost $15, you can grab them here. There are going to be waterslides, pools, lounging, music, free booze, free bikinis and trunks from Insight, free sunglasses from Ksubi and an assortment of other amazing goodies!
So, Michelle and I decided to see if all the Little Radio’s Summer Camp hype was warranted and headed to Downtown L.A. Saturday afternoon to check it out. We got there pretty early cause we had heard that there was going to be free bathing suits and sunglasses available for the taking and wanted to get some. When we pulled up, it was literally a party in a parking lot. But not just any parking lot party, a party with a waterslide, pool, tents, misters, lounge chairs, food from Tagine, free beer, sparkling wine, awesome DJs and badminton!
We got our wristbands and headed in. We immediately headed to Tagine for some food (sandwiches were around $6 and sides were $2) and then took a lap around the place to scope out the nooks and crannies. Insight had a booth there, but we didn’t see any merch out, so we kept walking. There was a Toms booth that was selling their plain white shoes for $40 and had customization stations there for you to tool around with. I thought that Ksubi was going to be there, but I didn’t see them anywhere and I was looking. So, I’m not sure what happened there.
Either way, we grabbed some lounges and pretty much spread out and chilled for the next 4 hours. Dancing, watersliding, Crystal Antlers live set, Colt 45ing and free bathing suits from Insight (it was kind of a bum rush situation and they were giving out sample sizes if you changed into them for the party) commenced and it was a great time. Join them next weekend for live music from No Age!
Pass sales benefit the Little Radio music program at Roosevelt High School.
Happy summering!
