Long Beach Crab Fest 2008

The Queen Mary has been really big on festivals this summer, and I’m still upset that they cancelled the Chocolate Expo, but Crab Fest? Alright, fine, I’ll give you one more chance, because I gotta say, I love Crabs, nooooo… not that kind you dirty minded A-hole, the Seafood kind. How much do I like them? Just put Crab Cakes on the menu and it’s over. I don’t know what it is, but I love it, and speaking of which, did you know Houston’s added Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes to their menus? $30 a plate but you’ll be licking the plate clean in no time, trust me.

Well, anyways, come see, taste and enjoy some cooking demonstrations on crab. Oh, also, I don’t know if this is just for sh!ts and giggles, but apparently, they, (the people putting on the festival,) are looking for a “Miss Crab Festival 2008″………  can’t make this stuff up.

I went to this event on Saturday, 9/30, it was a disaster to say the least.

$15 parking + $12/person admission = 1 lousy roach coach selling crab, 1 korean BBQ, 1 taco roach coach and another vendor not even ready around 12-noon.

Around 20~30 vendors selling non-crab related merchandises, terrible performer came late…..

The pictures on the official website, http://www.queenmaryfestivals.com/crabfest.html, are misleading. This event is worst than your child’s school carnival.

Took 10+ minutes to get out the this damn place with just 5 cars before me.

I have not been to Queenmary for a long time and this will be my last time.
